September Favorites

Hey everyone! I can't believe that October is already here!  But I'm happy about it because there are lots of things to look forward to this month...Halloween and my birthday!  Anyways, it is time for a September favorites, so here we go!

Beauty Favorites

For the longest time I stopped wearing lipgloss.  I don't know why, but I just stuck to a lipstick with a tiny bit of chapstick over the top.  I rediscovered a lipgloss in my makeup collection that made me love wearing lipgloss again.  This is a Revlon Super Lustrous gloss in Snow Pink.  I think this looks great over any lipstick I wear.  It just gives a nice shine, and the gold flecks are so subtle that you can't even tell they're there.  It also makes my lips look a little more plump, and I've been loving that.

I've mentioned in my blog before that the CoverGirl Lash Blast 24hr is my all time favorite mascara.  I picked up a new one during September, and it just gave my lashes a big boost!  I'll have to do a blog post on how I use it because it really does wonders for me!

I picked up a new makeup brush.  This is the E.L.F. blush brush, but I didn't buy it to use for my blush.  Instead, I use it to set my under eye concealer.  I think it's the perfect shape to work with under the eye, and it's super soft.

My absolute beauty favorite of the month are individual lashes.  After a few times practicing applying them and experimenting with how and where to apply them, I am so in love with them!  They look so natural, but they make a huge difference.  The best thing about them is that you can't feel them at all!

Fashion Favorites

Throughout September I started wearing this necklace/choker.  I'm sure many of you have seen that 90's fashion and makeup is making a huge comeback, and I'm so happy that it is.  This necklace definitely gives off that vibe.  I made this one myself, and I also made a tattoo choker.

Blogger

I've never done a favorite blogger of the month, but I just had to mention a blogger I discovered this month.  She's extremely popular in the fashion blogging community, and I definitely see why.  Kristina Bazan and her blog called Kayture is my blog favorite.  Her style is AMAZING and she is SO. GOREGEOUS.

Music

September was a great month for me because it was filled with some great music.  If you've been keeping up with my posts you probably know that I went to an Ed Sheeran concert and I went to the Music Midtown Festival.  Both were such highlights of the month for me.  I just wanted to mention a song from each that I've been obsessed with...

One of my favorite performances at Ed's show was of "Bloodstream."  This has always been a favorite of mine on his album, but something about seeing it live really stuck with me.  Here is my YouTube video of the performance.

Lorde was one of the performers at Music Midtown, and she definitely surprised me.  I've been a fan of hers for the longest time, and her performance really really impressed me.  I'm sure a lot of you have seen that she is a unique performer and she has a unique presence.  Seeing her feeling the music in a such a different way was one of my favorite things about her whole set.  The song that I always think of when I look back at her performance and my favorite on the album is "Buzzcut Season."

My last music favorite is from Heffron Drive's debut album, Happy Mistakes, and it's the song "Division of the Heart."

Those are all my favorites for the month of September!  I can't wait for all the fun things and favorites coming in October :)
