Current Brow Routine | Maybelline Product Review

Hey everyone!  I recently changed my brow routine after taking a trip to Ulta.  The products I use now are so much better than the ones I used before, so I had to share it with you all!  Both products are from Maybelline, so it's very affordable. Keep reading for my current brow routine and a review on these products!

I always comb through my brows with a spooly brush to prep them.

I use the Maybelline Expert Wear brow pencil.  The first time I used it I didn't really like it.  I thought the color was a bit off.  It kind off had a reddish tone to it, and it looked a bit harsh sometimes.  After using it a few more times, I figured out how to make it work for me.  To be honest, I feel like I could find a better brow pencil, but for the price I don't mind just making it work my for myself.  I recommend using a very light hand with it.  Using feathering motions to fill in my brows gives me the best results.  It might take a some time, but I prefer a natural look over a really bold filled in brow.  I always go back and forth between filling them in and then combing them out.  I do this until I'm satisfied with the look.

A couple things I really love about this product is that it doesn't pull my brow hairs and it lasts all day.  It has a good amount of a waxy consistency to make it last.  This is actually a twin set, so one package comes with two.  You have the option to use one as an eye liner and another for your brows.   I tried using it as an eyeliner, and it didn't work very well.  I hardly got any color payoff.  If you do purchase this product, I would just stick to it as a brow pencil.

After filling my brows in, I like to set my brows so they stay in place all day.  I picked up the Maybelline Brow Drama, and IT. IS. AMAZING!  I instantly fell in love with this tinted brow gel.  I think the ball-shaped brush is brilliant and easy to work with.  When you apply it, you don't have to worry about applying too much product.  I use it in dark brown, and it works perfectly for my brow color.  It doesn't make your brows shiny, and my favorite thing about it is that it doesn't disrupt what you've already done to your brows, which is what my last brow gel did and I hated it.  A little goes a long way.  If you have thick brows, you could totally get away with just using the brow gel on its own when you're in a hurry.  I highly recommend this if you are looking for an affordable brow gel!

I hope this helped some of you who are struggling to find some affordable brow products that really work well.  I'm so tempted to try some high-end makeup brow products, but I just can't justify spending that much on them!  So for now, this routine works perfectly for me!

Thanks for reading! Talk to you all soon :)
