My Favorite Holiday Nail Colors

Hey everyone!  Long time no blog, but I can finally say that I have more time to dedicate to blogging!  The semester is finally done, and I graduated from undergrad!  I had a great graduation and celebration, but I've missed putting blog posts together during all the commotion I've been through over the last month.

So back to the blog post...I wanted to share my favorite nails colors to wear during the holiday season with you all.  It's this time of year that you see people getting really festive with their makeup, clothes, and of course nails.  These are colors that I always bring out during this time of year, and to me they just scream Christmas and New Years.  If you want to see what I've been wearing on my nails lately just keep reading.  Enjoy!

850 Rotund Raspberry
Cover Girl XL Nail Gel

This is my most recent purchase and what I currently have on.  When I saw this color I knew I had to get it because I've been on the hunt for this shade for ages.  I also saw that it's supposed to give a "nail gel" effect, which made me very curious.  Just a quick little review:  It goes on very easily, but the finish does not look like much of a gel to me.  In daylight and under brighter lights, the color looks very red.  I prefer the way it looks in the bottle.  If you do pick this shade up, keep that color change in mind.  Overall, I think the lasting power is great and the formula is great too.

Red Carpet Red
Ulta

You can't go through the holiday season without red nails!  This is my go-to red that I love.  With this nail polish you can have true red nails, or you can build it up to make it a more deep and vampy red.  The formula is one of the easiest formulas to use.  I highly recommend this nail polish!

OMB!
Nicole by OPI

When I want to be a little more fancy with my red nails, I'll use this.  It's a red nail polish with a red shimmer and the finest red glitter.  The reason that I really love this nail polish is because it doesn't have obvious chunks of glitter.  It's just a different approach to a glittery nail that I think is perfect for Christmas and New Years.

Bring On The Bling
OPI

This nail polish is like Christmas in a bottle!  This was from the Burlesque collection, and it's filled with red, green, and gold glitter.  The flecks are very small, which I love.  Taking it off can be a pain, but I think the look it gives is so worth it!  Using this glitter shade as an accent nail is something I love doing too.

It's My Year
OPI

With a name like "It's My Year,"  this is the perfect shade to wear for a New Years Eve party.  This is actually my favorite nail polish that has glitter/shimmer in it.  It's very hard to explain, but it can look purple. maroon, or gold depending on the lighting and angle you look at your nails.  It's just so gorgeous!  If you can get your hands on this nail polish, I highly recommend that you pick one up!

I hope you enjoyed seeing my favorite holiday nail colors, and I hope that it has inspired you and your nail color choices for this holiday season.  What holiday nail colors are your favorite?  Thanks for reading!
