The Best Waterproof Mascara Remover
Hey everyone! Today I have a beauty tip to share about coconut oil! One of my very first blog posts was about the ways I use coconut oil, and I'm sure many of you have already heard about all the ways you can use coconut oil and all the great things that it can do. I wanted to make a more focused blog post about a specific way I've been using coconut oil lately: using it to remove my eye makeup, especially waterproof mascara. If you're anything like me, you have to use waterproof mascara because your lashes barely have any curl and can't hold curl very long. For a long time I would rely on my face wash to get rid of the mascara. I've tried using makeup wipes, but I didn't like how I would have to rub and tug on my eye to not even get all of it off. I also couldn't be bothered buying an expensive makeup remover and using cotton pads all the time.
For the past couple of months I've been using coconut oil to remove my eye makeup. It's a super easy and natural way to get rid of my eye makeup. The oil is great at breaking down and dissolving eye shadows and mascara. I don't have to tug or rub my eyes because the oil glides so easily. All I do is take a tiny amount of oil on my fingers and gently run it across my eyes for about 30 seconds. You'll start to feel the mascara dissolving. Then I just rinse my eyes with water and go on with the rest of my skin routine. It's so easy! One of the best things about this method is that one jar of coconut oil lasts so long! You'll definitely get your moneys worth!
Have you tried this eye makeup removing method before? What other ways do you use coconut oil? Thanks for reading, and have a great weekend!

Current Night Time Face Routine | Oily Combination Skin
Hey guys! Today it's all about my face routine before bed. I know there are many people who go through the struggle of falling asleep with makeup on, but I'm the complete opposite. If I don't go through my night time face routine, I won't be able to sleep! I've been pretty consistent with the products I've been using in my current routine, so I figured I would share it!
FYI - I have combination oily/ oily skin.
If I have makeup on, I'll use Target's makeup remover cleansing towelettes. These are comparable to the Neutrogena night calming makeup wipes, but you can get them at a cheaper price!
I use the Clinique Liquid Facial Soap as my cleanser every night. Every other day I'll exfoliate with the St. Ives Apricot scrub before cleansing. I've been using this exfoliator for years, and I love it! It makes my skin feel very smooth and clean.
After I wash my face I use a toner. I love the Clinique clarifying lotion for combination oily skin. This gets all the extra dirt that was left behind after washing and it feels very cooling and refreshing after I apply it.
Then I moisturize. This is a very important step in my skin routine. Even though I have oily skin I get dry spots, and I hate the feeling of dry skin on my face. I use Clinique's dramatically different moisturizing gel. This moisturizer is for combination oily to oily skin. I love the gel consistency, the way it applies, and how it makes my skin feel.
I use coconut oil around my eyes. This is a great natural way to moisturize the under eye area. I always make sure to dab it on and not rub it in.
The last thing I do before bed is moisturize my lips (dry lips is a pet peeve of mine). I use Maybelline's Babylips lip balm.
Now I can sleep peacefully! xoxo

My Miracle Moisturizer
Back in February of this year I tried out a new moisturizing method, and I'm never going back to lotion again! I used to use Jergens Ultra Healing lotion, which is a great lotion, but I wanted to try something that would really bring in moisture to my skin. Now I use COCONUT OIL. It seems a little weird to use something that you can cook with on your body, but it's natural and has lots of great benefits to your skin. My skin is not as dull and it has a nice glow to it.
I use the Spectrum organic and unrefined coconut oil. You can use any brand but make sure it's unrefined and organic. After I shower I just use it all over my body like you would a regular lotion. It takes a while for it to really soak into your skin. Just don't get dressed right after putting it on. I also put it under and around my eyes before I go to bed. I haven't been using any kind of eye cream and I used to get dry patches around the outer part of my eye and the coconut oil has helped a lot! You can also use it as a hair mask or apply the tiniest bit to the ends of your hair after you style it. I love everything coconut oil has done for me. Try it out! I'm sure you'll love it too!
