Fall Nudes

Hey everyone!  Now that it's October, my makeup and wardrobe have been in full on Fall mode.  One of my favorite things about Fall is incorporating warm colors and darker lips to my makeup routine.  Typically people go for the deep red and vampy lips this time of year, which I love, but lately I've been really into Fall inspired nude lips.  I picked out three of my favorite Fall nudes to show you all.  These nudes are a bit on the darker end or very warm.  These are also all drugstore products, so you can easily get your hands on them for a great price!  Read more to see what Fall nude shades I've been loving so far...

"Champagne Pop" Becca x Jaclyn Hill | Review

Hey everyone!  I've got something really special to share today.  Over the past couple months I've really been loving using highlighters and I wanted to take it to the next level.  I FINALLY got my hands on Jaclyn Hill's Champagne Pop highlighter in collaboration with Becca Cosmetics.  If you don't know who Jaclyn Hill is, she is an AMAZING makeup artist who makes YouTube videos.  I've been testing this out for a few weeks, and since it is still available, I wanted to give you guys a review on it because I think it will be really helpful if you're not sure you want to spend a lot of money on a highlighter.  Just keep reading to see my thoughts on this product...

NYX Micro Brow Pencil Review | Anastasia Brow Wiz Dupe?

Hey everyone!  One of the most important things I've learned throughout learning and experimenting with my makeup is that your eyebrows are so important to your final look.  I love finding new brow products, but I also know that the best brow products can be really pricey.  If you're like me, then you LOVE and LIVE for the Anastasia Brow Wiz, but the price of it gives you a bit of anxiety.   A couple months ago I started hearing a lot about the NYX Micro Brow pencil.  I picked it up and I've been using this for a good month or so to give you all a review on it.  To see my thoughts on it, just keep reading!

My First Lush Mask! | Review

Hey everyone!  For the past few weeks I've made some changes to my skincare routine.  I was going through some skin issues that I really wanted to fix, so I've been making sure to keep up with a specific skincare routine (I will have a post on this soon).  A couple weeks ago I picked up the Brazened Honey fresh face mask from Lush, and I have been LOVING it!  I didn't want to just include it in a favorites post because I felt like I really needed to explain this product, especially for those who may have the same skin type as me.  If you want to know more about this mask then just keep reading!

ColourPop | Haul + First Impression

Hey everyone!  I'm so excited for this post because it's about my first ColourPop purchase!  If you've never heard of ColourPop, it is a makeup company that started in Los Angeles that sells great products at extremely affordable prices online.  I've been hearing a lot about this company from many YouTubers, and once I found out they were giving away a free eyeshadow with purchase for their first birthday,  I couldn't resist ordering a couple of things to try out.  Read more to see what I got and what I think of them!

Maybelline Lash Sensational | Review

Hey everyone!  Sorry for the big gap in between posts, but I'm back with a review!  I picked up Maybelline's Lash Sensational Mascara.  I don't think this product is brand new, but I think it's one of the newer mascara's Maybelline has put out.  What sold me on this is that it's supposed to give a "full fan effect," which is something I love to have on my lashes.  Read more for my experience with this mascara!

Sephora Jumbo Liner | Review

Hey everyone!  So the other day I was in Sephora, and I was looking at the Sephora brand makeup.  The only Sephora makeup I've swatched and used are their lip liners.  I came across their eyeliners and jumbo liners, and right off the bat I was so impressed with their pigmentation and how absolutely smooth they are!  I also saw that they claimed to be waterproof.  With the weather getting hotter, my eye makeup can crease a lot easier, so I thought it would be great to really try the jumbo liners out.  To see my review on this product, just keep reading!

The Best Waterproof Mascara Remover

Hey everyone!  Today I have a beauty tip to share about coconut oil!  One of my very first blog posts was about the ways I use coconut oil, and I'm sure many of you have already heard about all the ways you can use coconut oil and all the great things that it can do.  I wanted to make a more focused blog post about a specific way I've been using coconut oil lately: using it to remove my eye makeup, especially waterproof mascara.  If you're anything like me, you have to use waterproof mascara because your lashes barely have any curl and can't hold curl very long.  For a long time I would rely on my face wash to get rid of the mascara.  I've tried using makeup wipes, but I didn't like how I would have to rub and tug on my eye to not even get all of it off.  I also couldn't be bothered buying an expensive makeup remover and using cotton pads all the time.

For the past couple of months I've been using coconut oil to remove my eye makeup.  It's a super easy and natural way to get rid of my eye makeup.  The oil is great at breaking down and dissolving eye shadows and mascara.  I don't have to tug or rub my eyes because the oil glides so easily.  All I do is take a tiny amount of oil on my fingers and gently run it across my eyes for about 30 seconds.  You'll start to feel the mascara dissolving.  Then I just rinse my eyes with water and go on with the rest of my skin routine.  It's so easy!  One of the best things about this method is that one jar of coconut oil lasts so long!  You'll definitely get your moneys worth!

Have you tried this eye makeup removing method before?  What other ways do you use coconut oil?  Thanks for reading, and have a great weekend!

Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Lover!

Hey everyone!  I'm so excited to share this post today!  I have fallen in love with another eye shadow palette...the Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar!  There is an original Chocolate Bar palette by Too Faced that I have not tried.  The colors just looked too similar to ones I already had.  I saw a few people talk about the Semi-Sweet one and it really caught my attention.  When I finally saw it in person, I fell in love and knew that would be my next makeup splurge.  Keep reading to see what I think of it and for more photos and swatches!

Posh Bird | Nails of the Day

Hey everyone!  I have a nail post for you today!  For the past month or so I've worn the same nail color week after week, so I decided it was time to switch it up.  One of my Christmas presents was the Butter London Steampunk Ball Collection duo, which came with a creme and a glitter nail polish.  I decided to try out the glitter one since I've stuck to opaque nails for so long.  This was also my first experience using Butter London polishes.  I'm sure many of you have heard of these when everyone was raving about these a while ago.  They are pricey on their own, so look out for some duo packages to get a better deal!

My Hair Crisis! | Hot Tools Flat Iron Review

Hey everyone! Sooo I had a hair crisis over the holidays.  My flat iron decided to stop working while I was getting ready on Christmas Eve, which left me trying to straighten my hair with a hair dryer and brush!  The day after Christmas I went out shopping, and my number one priority was to go to Ulta and pick up a new straightener.  I picked up a new Hot Tools flat iron.  I wanted to do something new on my blog and give you all a first impression/review of a hair tool.  So keep reading if you want to see how it turned out!

Happy New Year! | NYE OOTN

Hey everyone!  I hope you all had great new years celebrations!  I want to share my outfit of the night that I wore on New Years Eve.  I had a nice, laid back New Years Eve with family and friends. I didn't really need to get too glammed up and sparkly.  I'll save that for next year :)

I went out that day and searched for something new to wear. I picked up a couple things, but this skirt ended up the winner for the night!  It's from the Bethany Mota collection.  The print is made up of a metallic blue, cream, and black.  I thought the metallic in the skirt was a great touch for New Years without being too much for where I went that night.  If you're interested in getting the skirt for yourself, I put a link down below.

Outfit Details
Skirt - Bethany Mota
Top - Zara
Pea Coat - Charlotte Russe (old)
Booties - Target
Necklace - (gifted)

I also want to start off my first blog post in the new year with a THANK YOU to everyone who has visited/commented/read my blog.  I can't wait to get more up for you guys in 2015!

How did you celebrate your New Year?  Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!
